meals this week

2010/01/23

so as i’m abruptly realizing, if i want to get anything done-while working this job-i desperately need to plan it all out ahead of time. and while i’ve only been here the past month and truly will only be balls to the walls busy for the next week…here we go.

tomorrow night: T-Day in a bowl – this is a blind recipe, as i just overheard a co-worker explaining her boyfriend made “thanksgiving in a bowl” which consisted of: roasted squash, risotto, roasted turkey (i’m going to use chicken), bacon, and  and then she said “and some other good stuff in there too”….i’m going to try my hand at what my tummy & brain thinks will be good..and shall it be successful ;) i’ll post the recipe later.

monday night: peachy keen chicken w/ biscuits & rosemary pear butteri have a lot of left-over pear juice from this recipe that i want to use up before i have to toss it…

tuesday night: tagliatelle alla romagnola w/ simple argula salad

..and well ha ;) that’s it. because then Wednesday night we have a big pre-game meeting and SIA starts Thursday which will be long days and nights. so…I only needed to plan 3 days, but I did it.

if i could just justify this…

down and dirty updates

2010/01/15

so the quick, down and dirty of what i’ve been up to.

1. working my ass off – slinging burton clothes… 7am arrive at work – 8pm leave work sort of days.

2. loving on my pup.

3. holding the babes – holden & savannah (WHITNEY HAD HER BABY!) as much as possible.

4. wedding planning fun w/ kelly & melissa

5. being car-less because i got a flat tire – it ruined the sidewall since they’re such low profile wheels and 2 months after i just bought all new snow-tires, i waited a week and then dropped the $$ to get a whole NEW set of snow tires. =/ ugh, then i was annoyed for like 3 days straight

and 6. NOT buying the stuff i need to start my detox cleanse. THUS I will be shopping this weekend and starting it next week! updates to come as I go on that…. ;)

2010 – cleanse

2010/01/02

welcome 2010. hello. as i read on pacing the panic room….i have to agree and hope you’ll be good to us and give us a break this time around.

to me the perfect way to start the new year is being fresh, clean, and cleanse. it’s a new start to all those things that were left behind or unaccomplished and a way to feel like it’s ok to get them going again. we don’t do new years resolutions, i’m not that into it. but as with the majority out there, this time of year is great for remembering how important it is to take care of yourself, be healthy and happy, and make choices that lend themselves to desired results, etc. hence, i’m attempting another detox week this month. i try to do 2-4 a year and i’ve found this one to be by far the easiest.

anyone into it with me? i’m thinking….mid-jan. ???

here’s what it looks like:
